Fundraising for the BCI

EDINBURGH MARATHON 2025
BCI supported Francesco Pomponi ran the Edinburgh Marathon in May 25 and to raise funds to support the BCI.
DONATION
The Breast Cancer Institute is grateful to the Wilson family for a generous donation to support a research project focused on improving treatment selection for women with early breast cancer.

FRAMLINGHAM 10K
​In September 2024 Edinburgh Breast Surgeon, Prof Mike Dixon took part in the Framlingham 10K run. Not only did he win in his category but he also raised several thousand pounds for the BCI.
Challenging Desert Marathon
Earlier in the year, Edinburgh Breast Surgeon, Kenny Elder took part in a desert marathon to raise funds for the BCI.
Isabel Neilson Breast Cancer Fund
For a number of years we have received generous support from the Isabel Neilson Breast Cancer Charity, who have organised a number of fantastic fundraising events including a sponsored sky dive, a sponsored shark dive, walking The West Highland Way and a number of raffles and fancy dress parties. Most recently their incredible work has funded on-going local breast cancer research and a new ultrasound machine for the Edinburgh Breast Unit.
